ART de la LOCKDOWN

"Life consists of swirling events that shape our future. How one responds has as much, if not more impact." tn 2020

At the very beginning of 2020, I began making a few molds (8 layers of silicon, followed by a rigid mother-mold) of some of my favorite pieces I had sculpted from stone throughout the last 10 years. The process was humbling and tedious, but it was the first time in months that I felt anything other than the bottom.

Then things began to change... THE LOCKDOWN

At the beginning of March 2020: I began gathering "things to make things with", as I deemed these as the true essentials as our world began to seemingly spiral out of control. I started with hundreds of pounds of mold making materials followed by over a thousand of pounds casting materials. The extent of my anxiety could have been crippling, but I channeled that energy and chronicled my quarantine through art.
